ARTY PARTIES!

This is NOT your standard paint party! The guest of honor gets to choose their project based on a variety of choices Mrs. Chiappetta will provide. Party projects can be customized to fit your theme. If you are interested in scheduling a field trip or other school-related event, special rates are available.

When planning a party at Reid Street Studio, I ask that you keep in mind that the primary purpose of visiting the studio is to relax, visit with friends, and create art. Per studio policies below, please refrain from bringing in excessive decorations and full meals, as time allotments and studio space don't allow for either.

HOW IT WORKS/PARTY POLICIES:

  • Arty Parties are offered for ages 8 and up in 2.5 hour blocks at $39/participant for up to 12 people, with a $150 nonrefundable deposit required at the time of booking.

  • Parties are offered on Saturdays from 3:00 - 5:30 OR 5:30 - 8:00. Sunday parties are available from 11:00 - 1:30.

  • Instruction for parties will begin 15 minutes after scheduled start time, and work time will be planned to last 100 minutes, for a total of 115 minutes of teacher-led studio time. Remaining 35 minutes can be used for snacks, gift-opening, visiting, and cleanup, which host is responsible for managing.

  • Arty Parties require a minimum of four participants to run. Groups of four will be charged the full party amount at the time of booking.

  • You will notice that when you book that the party will be set up with a capacity of one so that only one person [the party host] can reserve that event time by submitting their deposit. A second invoice for the remaining balance will be sent seven days before the party once total headcount has been provided. Balance must be paid in full no later than three days before the party date.

  • Hosts may arrive 30 minutes before the start of the party. The studio space will be clean and set up prior to host arrival.

  • Parties end promptly at the scheduled time. Host and all guests must be packed up and out of the studio no later than 15 minutes beyond the scheduled end time of the party. Parties that run over their scheduled time may incur an additional $50 fee.

  • The studio can accommodate a maximum of 12 artists. An additional four guests may attend an Arty Party at no extra cost, but may not participate in the art-making process.

  • ONLY cupcakes or a cake are permitted for guests/celebrations for guests 15 and under. For guests 16+ we ask that food is kept minimal and simple, i.e. a charcuterie board, cheese and crackers, a veggie platter, etc. Coolers, crock pots, and other warming/cooking devices are not allowed. The studio refrigerator is available for use for any food or drinks that need to be kept cold.

  • Beverages must be self-contained (bottled water, juice boxes, etc.) - please do not plan to use open cups.

  • Alcohol is not allowed at parties unless ALL guests are over the age of 21. Hard alcohol is not permitted in the studio under any circumstances.

  • Host and guests are kindly asked to clean up after themselves at the end of the party. Food, wrappers, cups, etc. should be disposed of and the party space should be cleared before the host leaves to avoid any additional cleanup fees. This includes any excessive messes left in the studio restroom.
